Project Information
It’s hard to resist the allure of a good cakoi. Onsoi Cakoi operates three outlets in East Malaysia, offering the popular Malaysian snack known as cakoi, also referred to as “youtiao” or “Chinese cruller.” The term “onsoi” is derived from the native Murut language, meaning “good.”
Our client decided to refresh their brand image while retaining the beloved mascot image of the cakoi. We preserved its irregular shape and emphasized an organic feel through varying stroke weights. The logo itself serves as a mascot that can be adapted across different brand touchpoints in the future.
To incorporate the essence of Borneo into the brand, we designed a simplified diamond-shaped pattern paired with warm orange and brown hues. This approach preserves the local essence while enhancing customer appeal.
Enjoy a snack that’s not just good, but 𝑶𝒏𝒔𝒐𝒊!
